Apple Puree
Apple puree is used in cake recipes. It is very easy and quick to cook. (See our Apple Danish recipe.)
Portions: Filling for 12-18 Danish Pastries
Preparation: 5 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Ingredients
Apple Puree
- 2 large cooking apples, peeled, decored and diced
- juice of 1/4 lemon
- 80g caster sugar
- 4 tbsp water
Method
- Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and place the pan over a moderate heat. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until the sugar. Leave the apple to cook for 10-15 minutes stirring it occasionally until it has collapsed into a smooth puree. Allow the apple puree to cool before using.
