Apple Puree

Apple puree is used in cake recipes. It is very easy and quick to cook. (See our Apple Danish recipe.)

Ingredients

Apple Puree

  • 2 large cooking apples, peeled, decored and diced
  • juice of 1/4 lemon
  • 80g caster sugar
  • 4 tbsp water

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and place the pan over a moderate heat. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until the sugar. Leave the apple to cook for 10-15 minutes stirring it occasionally until it has collapsed into a smooth puree. Allow the apple puree to cool before using.
