Cardiff's local farmers' market, the Riverside Farmers' Market, has grown over the years to become a mecca for foodies to buy their local produce. Its success is it is held on a Sunday within easy reach of the city centre, where you can meet and chat to the people that grew, caught or reared the produce they sell.
As the market has grown in popularity, the range of products that are available from the stall has diversified. There can be anything up to thirty stalls, which sell artisan breads, rear breed pork, meat and game, smoked seafood, vegetables, fruit, chutneys, jams, cakes, coffee, to name a few. Being Welsh, there are plenty of uniquely Welsh products, which typifies the pride these producers put into their home grown 'foodie' products.
