Voted Market of the Year by Slow Food Scotland, the Edinburgh Farmers’ Market takes place every Saturday year‑round on Castle Terrace beneath the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. More than 50 stallholders offer everything from organic fruit and veg to Scotch beef, wild venison, artisanal cheeses, baked goods and hot street food.
The market is run by Edinburgh City Council and prioritises local producers from the EH postcode area. Regular cookery demonstrations and seasonal events make it a hub for food lovers and a fixture of the city’s culinary scene.
