North of Wellington, on State Highway One is the big, little Lindale Farmers' Market. While not the largest market in New Zealand, it is very popular with the locals and visitors alike, who come for the freshest produce and the atmosphere of the market.

The stalls range from organic meat and chickens, free-range eggs, artisan breads, seasonal fruit and vagetables through to pies, cakes, jams and much more. While not make a day of it, as there is the rest of Lindale to explore and cafés to grab lunch at.
