From their first market in 2002, the Noosa Farmers' Market has grown into a weekly event that sees thousands of customers descending on the Noosa AFL Grounds to try and buy the seasonal delights the 60 odd stall holders have to offer. There is everything a foodie could want, from artisan breads to organically grown veg, it is easy to see why it is so popular.
The market is a great place to shop, for not only can you try before you buy, you are also able to talk directly to the people that grow, reared or produced the products. As most of the produce comes the hinter land around Noosa, it is wonderfully fresh, with the fruit and veg being havested only hours before you are able to buy it.
One thing is certain, the range of produce and smallgoods that are available is testimony to the success of the market. There are wonderful fruits, from strawberries, pineapples, mango, through to the exotic. There is plenty of organically grown vegetables, free-range eggs, cheeses, jams, conserves, sauces, breads. The list goes on, so be sure to check out their website for the latest news and stall holder information.
