Sausage and Mash

Given the choice how many dads would opt for sausage and mash I know all the dads in my familly would. So why not treat your dad with a small version of the dish to start off their meal.

  • 500g flour potatoes, peeled and roughly diced
  • 100ml milk
  • 1 tbsp. chives, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • pinch grated nutmeg
  • maldon salt and freshly ground black pepper


  • 6 Toubelaise sausages or your dads favourite


  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 6 mushrooms, cleaned, trimmed and finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chives, finely chopped
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

To Serve

  • 12 chive sprigs
