This bread is great for children from three years up to make with assistants from an
adult. When making the bread for a large group of children take a little of the bread
dough and make the first letter of the child's name on their bread.

Ingredients
Homemade Bread
750g or 1 1/2 lb bread flour (strong flour)
1 tsp. salt
7g Fast action dried yeast
450ml or 3/4 pint warm water (1 part boiling and 2 parts cold)
Method
Mix together the flour and salt. Stir in the oil and then the yeast.
Add the water and mix to a dough using an eating knife.
Sprinkle flour on your hands and mix with your hands to make a firm dough.
Turn out on a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes by hand, or for
5 minutes with and electric mixer with a dough hook.
Divide in to loaf tins or shape the dough as required.
Cover with oiled cling film and leave in a warm place for about 1/2 an hour
until doubled in size.
Preheat an oven to 230°C, 450 F or Gas No 8. Uncover the bread and bake it in
the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the bread sound hollow when
tapped.
