Classic Bloody Mary

One of our favorite pre-dinner drinks, especially in Summer. As one of our friends says, with all those tomatoes, it should be 'one of your five a day'. Well, we're not sure whether we agree with him, but they are very easy to make and very tasty.

Ingredients

Bloody Mary (in highball glass)

  • 1 large jigger (60 ml) of vodka
  • 200 ml of tomato juice
  • 1 celery stick
  • 2 tsp of lemon juice
  • pinch of celery salt
  • pinch of ground black pepper
  • dash of Tabasco to taste
  • 2 - 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • horseradish to taste
  • ice cubes to chill drink

Method

  1. Place ice cubes to chill highball glass, then add jigger of vodka.
  2. Add lemon juice, tobasco, horseradish and worcestershire sauce, then fill glass with tomato juice.
  3. Add pinch of celery salt, pepper and celery stick.
  4. Mix drink with celery stick.
  5. Drink!
